We are looking for a strong software QA automated test engineer to be part of a team that is building a world-class video, image, and audio content delivery platform for the web. The organization is a Cambridge-based well-funded start-up. You will work on small, collaborative teams directly with developers and product management to help shape the future look and feel of interactive media and television.
Responsibilities
Perform software testing on our web-based applications and products, including:
Work closely with developers and designers in an action oriented Agile engineering organization to plan, build and test high quality and high performance components of our digital media deployment product
Work with product management to identify use case scenarios and create and execute test plans to validate those use cases
Work together with the entire project team to validate the quality of releases
Identify test automation opportunities and tools to automate both unit and functional tests
Grow the Flex and Java test automation suites
Identify and report product usability issues, defects, and incompatibilities
Configure and maintain Linux, Windows, and Macintosh based test systems
Assist in the development of test standards and procedures
Contribute in the development of QA test frameworks
Requirements
3 to 5+ years experience testing web-based applications
Range of experience testing with various browsers and platforms
Some coding experience in Java or another high-level OO programming language like C# or C++
Experience with scripting test automation
Experience with Junit testing is a definite plus!
Knowledge and understanding of QA processes and best practices
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
