Sermo is currently seeking a Quantitative Research Associate who will be responsible for the design, execution, and management of quantitative and qualitative research in a consultative manner for investment firms.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and extract key findings and insights for clients; guide others to do the same.

  • Manage relationships with existing clients and pursue additional follow-up engagements.

  • Work with clients to understand their business issues.

  • Translate client needs into effective research plan.

  • Execute research plan as lead researcher.

  • Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in science, math, economics, or engineering preferred.

  • 3-5 years experience in the fields of healthcare, life sciences, clean technology, consulting, market research, and/or relationship management.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Superb client management skills.

  • Excellent quantitative / qualitative analysis skills.

  • Project management skills.

  • Team player with the ability to think and act independently in a fast-paced team-based environment.

  • General understanding and awareness of financial markets.

  • Knowledge of survey techniques and survey engines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel data manipulation techniques.
