Practice Manager (South shore of Massachusetts - Weymouth, Abington, Norwell, Hanover, Rockland, Pembroke, Whitman) About the Position: Under general management, performs the daily operations of the Dental Practice and Billing Department. Establishes and maintains systems to ensure that the department meets company financial and operational objectives. Provides training and support to staff regarding systems, processes, procedures and customer-service standards May have to assist with front-desk and general management as per the needs Typically reports to a Practice Director. Skills: Good knowledge of ADA, CPT-4, and ICD-9 coding, general accounting and medical terminology. Under the direction of the Practice Director serves as the primary accounts receivable resolution source. Responsible for Dental accounts receivable, collection, aging and monitoring, day sheets reports Assumes responsibility of daily operation of the front desk and accounts receivable as needed Proactively works with Practice Director and providers regarding issues affecting patient scheduling, patient accounts and outside collection activity. Must be able to prioritize work and coordinate multiple projects concurrently and ability of effectively problem solve. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with solid computer (Excel, Word, and Access) skills necessary Requires the ability to effectively work in a team with no or minimal supervision Demonstrated organizational, leadership and teamwork skills Excellent customer service, strong organizational and problem resolution skills Nice to have: EasyDental 2005/2007 or any Dental Practice application software experience preferred. MassHealth billing experience Some leadership role and peoples skills
