Sermo is currently seeking a full-time Lead Software Quality Engineer to test the largest online community for physicians. Responsibilities --Lead the Quality Engineering effort for one of the company’s product lines. --Define and drive the test strategy for each project. --Work with the team to estimate the testing cost and track remaining testing. --Supervise and mentor other Quality Engineers on the team. --Monitor and report on the testing progress. --Contribute individually by creating and executing test cases. --Create bug reports and oversee resolution. --Deliver QTP automation that covers the features in each release. --Work closely with project management and development to ensure projects ship on time. Qualifications --B. Sc., Computer Science or equivalent. --At least 8 years experience testing web-based applications. --Excellent written and oral communication skills. --Exceptional ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues. --Ability to meet deadlines and have flexibility in a fast paced environment. --Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, XML, AJAX, Java, JavaScript, and web services. --Proficiency with relational databases, with the ability to write SQL queries. --Experience working with the agile development methodology. --Previous experience working with Linux and java or Ruby.
