Soft Servo Systems is a fast-growing startup company (from MIT) providing the machine tools and motion control industries with an advanced but affordable PC-based motion control and CNC solution. Our customers include major machine tool builders in the US, Japan and China.
The candidate will work closely with senior engineers in designing and testing PC-based CNC products and OEM solutions. Will be responsible for bringing and setting up machine tools for further testing of the CNC products. Technical supports to machine tool builders will be expected.
Intensive familiarity and experience with industrial CNC products such as Fanuc and Siemens is required. Experience in leading products of PC-based motion control such as Delta Tau, Galil and Motion Engineering Inc., is a plus. Practical operating knowledge of Windows and PC hardware is expected. Other qualifications include:
- 2 years (or higher) technical diploma/degree
- 3 years minimum working experience as a CNC programmer or operator
- experience with common types of laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)
- experience in a lab/test environment
- strong knowledge on personal computers and Windows environment
- organizational skills
- excellent communications skills
- team-oriented, self-motivated, positive attitude
