Banana Republic is now hiring for sales and stock associate positions throughout the Boston area at all of our store locations.
SALES ASSOCIATE POSITION:
General Summary:The Sales Associate provides an exceptional customer experience by working closely with customers to meet their needs.
Initiates contact with the customer in the store and helps the customer feel welcome
Assesses the needs of the customer and provides the appropriate level of service and expertise
Communicates with customers about style, quality and value of Gap products; provides overall product and fit knowledge to the customer
Provides courteous, helpful and knowledgeable service to the customer throughout the store, including the sales floor, fitting rooms and cash wrap
Coordinates efforts with other sales associates to ensure customers receive exceptional service throughout the store
Uses effective communication skills to build and maintain customer relationships
Participates in merchandise handling, including: receiving shipment, replenishment, fitting room go-backs, markdowns, and price management
Facilitates superior check out experience
Participates in other operational activities, including visual execution, maintenance and other store support
Promotes customer loyalty through opening brand credit cards
Qualifications
Strong communication and conversation skills
Outgoing, courteous, genuine and approachable
Self-confident and mature, with a positive attitude and approach to work
Desire to work with customers in a retail setting
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge
Affinity/passion for Gap brand and product
Efficient and motivated, with a pride in one’s work
Strong decision and problem-solving ability
Curious and adaptable, with a passion for learning; not afraid to take risks
Team oriented and collaborative
High school graduate or equivalent
Customer service experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers and store personnel; maneuver around sales floor, stockroom and store office; lift and carry 30 lbs.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and the needs of the business.
STOCK/NON-SELL ASSOCIATE
Responsible for execution of all company standards in the Non-Sell Work Center including shipment processing and receiving, replenishment, itemized restocking, stockroom organization and adhering to visual standards. Responsible for driving results and enhancing the customer experience by ensuring all styles and sizes are represented on the floor.Will flex and contribute to any Work Center as directed by the Leader On Duty. Role models Gap Inc. Purpose Values and Behaviors in all actions and interactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Displays a “customer is the priority” mindset at all times.
Consistently treats all Banana Republic customers and employees with respect and contributes to a positive work environment.
Promotes a safe working and shopping environment and to maximize the customer shopping experience.
Upholds all company policies as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual, including the Code of Business Conduct and the Employee Policy Guide.
Non-Sell Associate
Performs all merchandise handling and visual tasks to standard throughout the store.
Prepares and executes the Floor It! process per the Merchandise Handling Manual.
Performs consistent replenishment per the Merchandise Handling Manual.
Performs consistent itemized restocking per the Merchandise Handling Manual.
Performs consistent Daily In-Service Audits per the Merchandise Handling Manual.
Performs other non-sell tasks to standard as needed: markdowns, stock checks, charge sends, transfers and damages and defectives.
Ensures the stockroom is organized per the Merchandise Handling Manual.
Supports Merchandise Presentation Center of Excellence by executing merchandise moves associated with rollouts and reaction to sell-through.
